Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc’s box office numbers reveal whether the movie is profitable or not. While the movie did not generate the same level of buzz as Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the series is very popular among anime enthusiasts. But has it truly become profitable?
Here’s a look at the movie’s box office numbers against its budget.
Is Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc profitable at the box office?
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc was released on various dates between September and October around the globe. However, in the United States, it debuted on October 24, 2025.
Since its release, the movie has been a massive hit and earned over $17.3 million from 3,003 theaters. Over the weekend, it performed better than 20th Century’s Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, which earned $8.7 million, and Paramount’s Regretting You, which earned $13.68 million. With the movie still running in cinemas, the number can only grow for the anime.
On the other hand, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc earned over $90 million internationally. Combining box office numbers puts the movie’s total around $109 million. And since the movie was made on a total budget of $4.1 million, it is safe to say that the movie is very profitable.
This movie marks the second consecutive success for the anime genre. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, which was released earlier this year, also surpassed expectations by earning over $666 million.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga series, adapting the Bomb Girl arc. The movie is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara with a screenplay by Hiroshi Seko. After the success of the Chainsaw Man series, the studio decided to adapt the Bomb Girl arc into a movie. However, subsequent chapters will return to the series format, picking up after the events of the movie. Currently, there is no official news about the next season.
