Gen V concluded its high-octane Season 2 finale with some huge twists and a glimmer of hope as the young generation of superheroes found a renewed sense of purpose. Just like one would expect from the series, there were some big deaths, a major fight, and a hearty conclusion to the convoluted tale of Thomas Godolkin.

What happens in Gen V Season 2 finale ending?
In the final episode of the second season of Gen V, Thomas Godolkin, now restored to his own body (thanks to a cleverly manipulated Marie), introduces himself to the students, wipes off the rankings, and encourages them to join a seminar with him. This is, of course, leading to his plan of killing weaker supes.
Despite Marie and her gang trying to persuade some “weaker” supes not to fall into the trap, verbal warnings rarely work in this universe. Soon, a bloodbath begins in the training room, where Godolkin forces the students to kill each other. He also appears to be more powerful than ever before.
Sensing that he does not plan to follow through on the earlier plans he and Sage had, Sage helps out Polarity. Earlier, Polarity and Doug (the body Godolkin used as Cipher) were attacked by Black Noir, leading to Doug’s death.
Marie soon intervenes, along with the rest of her supe friends. The training room fight initially seems to favor Godolkin, but Polarity’s arrival shifts the balance, and it ends with Marie brutally exploding Godolkin.
The group flees after this.
Does Homelander appear in Gen V Season 2 finale?
No, despite several mentions and a phone call, Homelander does not appear in Gen V Season 2 finale. Instead, Starlight appears at the very end and asks the young generation of heroes to join the resistance.
This hints that Marie and her friends may have a role to play in the upcoming The Boys Season 5. It is speculated that this will conclude the saga.
