Ryan Reynolds shares Channing Tatum’s wild party details
During his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ryan Reynolds recalled the time when Channing Tatum “nearly killed” the Wrexham team.
Speaking with Kimmel, Reynolds opened up about the celebrities who have flown to Wales to support the team. “Channing Tatum came out and nearly killed the whole team,” he joked before giving a hilarious account of Tatum’s night out with the players.
“He came out to shoot a Super Bowl ad for SToK Cold Brew Coffee, which is the sponsor of the club,” Reynolds recalled. “[Tatum] was going to do the Super Bowl ad where he does this insane dance thing.”
Reynolds shared that Tatum wanted to party with the players after the shoot was over. “But after the rehearsal, he was like, ‘I’m going to take some of the boys out,'” the actor remembered. “And then they go out, and then it’s just like radio silence.”
After not hearing back from Tatum and the team for a while, Reynolds got a text from the Magic Mike star at 4:30 in the morning. He then pulled out his phone to read the hilarious message, with the crowd erupting in laughter.
“This is a real text I got from him at 4:30 in the morning or so. ‘Oops. I might have had too much fun with the boys.’ And then a long pause. ‘I’m sorry,'” Reynolds read out loud.
“I said, ‘Please don’t break any of them.’ And he said, ‘Definitely didn’t break any of them. We were very vigilant about injuries,'” Reynolds added, earning another round of cheers and laughter from the audience.
Reynolds concluded the story by showing a picture of Tatum having a blast with several Wrexham players.
