All four episodes of Marvel Zombies just dropped, and the ending revealed every character who dies in the finale. As a standalone series, the show took the liberty to kill off some major characters, and in the most brutal ways possible.

All heroes who die in Marvel Zombies Episode 4’s ending
Marvel Zombies takes one of the What If…? series’ episodes and expands on it. The limited animated series is set in an alternate reality where many superheroes have turned into zombies who want to take over the world. The show caters to mature audiences, and as a result, it uses violence and gory ways to kill its characters. This is in contrast to Marvel’s regular family-friendly content.
While many fan-favorite characters do appear in the show, not all original actors reprise their roles. The series features Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, Iman Vellani, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Hailee Steinfeld, among the few who returned to lend their voice to the show.
In Marvel Zombies Episode 4’s ending, the heroes face Scarlet Witch and her zombie army in a large-scale battle. It also resulted in several key characters’ tragic fate, both zombified and human. Here’s a summary of all the heroes who die:
- Janet Van Dyne: Valkyrie explodes Janet’s head from the inside when Janet is in her giant form.
- Hank Pym: Scott Lang headbutts Hank towards Blade, who slices him into two pieces while he is in his miniature form.
- London Sanctorium’s Master: Becomes ashes when hit by Thor’s energy blast.
- Sara: She experiences the same fate as London Master since she was standing beside him.
- Blade Knight: Thor obliterates him with an energy blast when he tries to attack.
- Thor: He was zombified off-camera, citing a result of a confrontation with Scarlet Witch. But Hulk stomps on his head, crushing it during their fight.
- Hulk: Scarlet Witch absorbs all of Hulk’s powers. Though it is not clear if he died.
- Shang-Chi: Gets zombified after getting bitten.
- Rintrah: Overwhelmed by zombies, he gets impaled.
