In the upcoming MCU X-Men reboot, many are wondering about which omega-level mutants could be a great addition to the movie. Ever since Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc. was acquired by Disney, Marvel has gained access to a massive roster of omega-level mutants. This has the fans excited for what’s to come.
Here’s a list of Omega-level heroes that could be added to the X-Men movie.
List of Omega-level mutants expected to be in MCU’s X-Men reboot
Given that Marvel is rebooting the X-Men series, it opens up a lot of opportunities to go big and add multiple omega-level mutants to the movie. While there is no confirmation that Marvel will add any of the following mutants, adding these characters to the movie could be a game-changer for the franchise.
Jean Grey
Debuted under the name Marvel Girl, Jean Grey is one of the first X-Men. She wields omega-level mutant powers like telekinesis, which lets her move things with her mind, and telepathy, which lets her read thoughts. As her powers grow, she becomes the Phoenix, one of the strongest mutants in Marvel.
Professor X
Professor X has been one of the essential characters in the X-Men series. As the founder of X-Men, his return is absolutely necessary. His unmatched telepathic powers let him control minds, alter memories, and even possess others. With Cerebro and his genius intellect, he’ll be central to Marvel’s future mutant storylines.
Magneto
As X-Men’s first enemy, Magneto’s inclusion in the new movie is quite certain. Considered as one of the most powerful mutants, he can control magnetic fields, create force fields, open magnetic wormholes, and even resist telepathy.
Franklin Richards
Although as a baby, Franklin Richards already made his appearance in The Fantastic Four: The First Steps. While MCU hasn’t called him a “mutant” officially, it could certainly pick it up in the coming years. Franklin can reshape matter, bring any thought to life, and even create entire universes.
Monarch
The Braddock family could play a big role in the MCU, with Captain Britain and Psylocke (Betsy Braddock) possibly appearing. However, their older brother, Jamie Braddock, also known as Monarch, would be a powerful addition. As an omega-level mutant, he can manipulate reality around him by altering quantum strings.
Storm
Storm, already seen as the Goddess of Thunder in What If…? season 3, is teased for her live-action MCU debut. With her magical ancestry and god-like mutant abilities, the MCU can explore her incredible powers.
Iceman
Iceman is another character that Fox underutilized and never tapped his full potential. As a key X-Men member, he could be extremely important in MCU storylines. He has powers like creating ice armor, turning into water or vapor, and growing stronger using water.
Vulcan
Scott and Alex Summers’s lesser-known brother, Gabriel Summers, known as Vulcan, is an omega-level mutant who would be a great addition to the series. He can control huge amounts of energy and even tap into the powers of other mutants.
