Has Netflix renewed Wednesday for Season 3 or canceled it?
Netflix’s Wednesday has been renewed for Season 3.
Netflix has officially greenlit a third season of the popular series Wednesday. The show has already received an early renewal before the premiere of Season 2 Part 2 on September 3, 2025. However, no specific release date or time has been announced yet.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in July, series co-creator Alfred Gough and Netflix executive Bela Bajaria mentioned that discussions are underway for a Wednesday spin-off, hinting that the project may focus on another character from the Addams Family.
Gough remarked, “It’s something we’re definitely noodling; there are other characters we can look at. Meanwhile, Bajaria added, “There’s a lot to explore in the Addams Family.”
The creators of Wednesday also participated in an interview with Tudum, where Alfred Gough stated, “Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can.”
Co-creator Miles Millar furthered this discussion by saying, “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday. We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
The series’ cast includes Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Naomi J. Ogawa, Steve Buscemi, Evie Templeton, Christina Ricci, and Luis Guzmán, among others.
