Peter Parker aka Spider-Man

Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to production details, filming began on August 1, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland, under director Destin Daniel Cretton. Holland has appeared in all previous Spider-Man MCU films, making this his fourth solo installment. The script is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, continuing their work on the trilogy.

Frank Castle’s The Punisher

Jon Bernthal will return as Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher. He first portrayed the character in Marvel Television’s Daredevil and The Punisher before the shows joined the MCU. Brand New Day will feature the Punisher’s first major film appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bruce Banner and the Hulk

Mark Ruffalo joins the cast once again as Bruce Banner and the Hulk. He has played the character since 2012’s The Avengers and has appeared in multiple MCU projects. Brand New Day continues Banner’s story before his confirmed return in Avengers: Doomsday.

The New Avengerz Leader, Yelena Belova

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Florence Pugh is rumored to reprise her role as Yelena Belova. If confirmed, this will be her fifth MCU project after Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thunderbolts, and Marvel Zombies. The character has transitioned from assassin to member of the New Avengers, and her appearance could connect Spider-Man’s arc to the broader Phase 6 narrative.

With these heroes confirmed or rumored, Spider-Man: Brand New Day already features a lineup that links street-level and Avenger-tier characters. Reports also list Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Sadie Sink in a new role.

Rumors suggest more cameos could include Daredevil, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Shang-Chi, Captain Marvel, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men, and even a potential setup for Miles Morales.
