Many TMNT fans want to know more about the special Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 35th Anniversary release date in theaters. The event created by Fathom Entertainment, a collaboration between many chains like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark, hasn’t been featured that widely, but word of mouth for this rescreening of the 1990 movie has been strong. Originally, this special airing was only supposed to be released on August 17 and August 20, 2025. But pre-sales have been so high that the TMNT anniversary event has expanded to a full seven-day affair. Here’s a breakdown of the new showtimes for the TMNT special screening.
What are the new TMNT 35th anniversary theater showtimes?
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 35th anniversary screening will run from August 15 to August 21. Cinemark and AMC will start airing the film on August 15 while Regal Cinemas plans on having its first screenings for the movie available on August 16.
For available showtimes, you can head to the official sites for AMC, Regal, and Cinemark of course. Beyond that, you can check the event webpage for the film on Fathom Entertainment where you can select a specific date and see what theaters, as powered by Fandango, near your area is participating in this TMNT anniversary event.
This screening will allow parents to give their kids a chance to see the original TMNT film that was all the craze back in the early ’90s. The main draw, though, is that the movie will come with a featurette called “Turtles Unmasked” that will air before the film and offer never-before-seen footage and extended scenes. There will also be commentary from director Steve Barron who will provide some words on how his team created this version of the movie for the event.
Sadly, it doesn’t seem there will be any special merchandise, like T-shirts and popcorn buckets, that will be offered at theaters alongside this rescreening. There are still, of course, other TMNT 35th anniversary collectibles, like this $170 five-pack of figurines from NECA.
