With Zach Cregger’s Weapons now in theaters, horror fans are already counting down to its streaming and digital release date. The mystery-horror film, which hit cinemas on August 8, 2025, follows the eerie disappearance of 17 children from the same class in the fictional town of Maybrook.
When could Weapons get its digital release date?
Weapons could get a digital release date sometime in September.
While Warner Bros. Pictures hasn’t officially confirmed the digital release date, the studio’s past patterns give us a solid clue. Warner Bros./New Line Cinema often releases new titles on premium video on demand (PVOD) about four to six weeks after their theatrical debut. For example, Final Destination Bloodlines went digital just over a month after release, while A Minecraft Movie and Sinners each hit PVOD about six weeks later.
If Weapons follows this trend, it will likely be available for purchase or rental on PVOD, aka have a digital release date between September 9 and September 23, 2025. New digital titles often drop on Tuesdays, so fans can watch for announcements in early September.
Once available, viewers will be able to rent or buy Weapons on platforms like Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, and Fandango at Home. Physical media collectors can also expect Blu-ray and DVD editions to follow shortly after.
