Marvel To Recast Some Heroes – Everyone Who Could Be Repaced Soon

Curious to know which Marvel heroes could be recast after Avengers: Secret Wars? For those unfamiliar, Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently confirmed that Secret Wars will set the stage for new beginnings and reset the singular timeline. With the reset reportedly materializing in a few years, Feige revealed that familiar characters will return with new faces through the multiverse concept.

Here are the details on which heroes could be recast.

List of Marvel heroes who could be recast after Avengers: Secret Wars

Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Natasha Romanoff

These three original Avengers said goodbye to the MCU in Endgame. Stark sacrificed himself. Natasha jumped off the cliff in Vormir so Hawkeye could obtain the Soul Stone. Steve chose to live peacefully with Peggy, retiring from active duty. With their stories concluded, Marvel could cast new actors in their roles.

T’Challa

In August 2021, Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa, passed away after battling colon cancer, leaving fans and the industry devastated. Since then, many have expressed interest in seeing the character return through a recast or alternate universe. Recently, F1 actor Damson Idris hinted he might be a contender for a Black Panther recast.

Most X-Men

Professor X, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm will likely be recast with younger actors. Feige confirmed the X-Men reboot in a Variety interview, saying, “X-Men is where that will happen next… that’s the universal story of mutants, and that is where we’re going.”

Quicksilver

Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver died in Age of Ultron. Marvel is now considering Rudy Pankow and Charlie Heaton to potentially take over the role.

Nick Fury

Marvel has not confirmed a recast for Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, but he could step away from the role after Secret Wars.

Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner recently had a pay dispute over Hawkeye Season 2. This opens the door for someone else to take on the role in the future.

The Pym Family

Michael Douglas has announced semi-retirement, and Evangeline Lilly has retired. If Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne return, they may be recast. The same goes for Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet Van Dyne.
