Stranger Things Season 5 is going to be the darkest season of the Netflix drama so far, which certainly, in series terms, means there will be some big deaths. With the trailer for the final season out, there are already speculations and discussions about which characters may not make it out of the season alive.
Here is a list of characters that are more likely to die in Stranger Things Season 5 than others.
Everyone who could die in Stranger Things Season 5
Eleven
Eleven is the undoubted star of the series, which means two things. She could either die a hero’s death, or she may survive. But as Eleven is the focal point of the story and will face her toughest opposition in Vecna, she may end up sacrificing herself to save the others.
Vecna
The most likely death in Stranger Things Season 5 is Vecna. Being the main villain of the show, it would not be considered a strong ending if the biggest adversary survives.
Robin
Few imagined Robin being a casualty in the final season before the trailer, but now fans have a real reason to worry. In the trailer, Robin is seen standing in front of a large white truck that later comes under attack from the Demogorgons. A shot in the trailer shows the truck badly damaged, which has led fans to wonder if Robin will make it out alive.
Robin quickly becoming a particularly likable character also increases the chances of her death.
Will Byers
Another focal point of Stranger Things, Will has a connection with Vecna. This shows that a large part of the story has been about him. After last season’s revelation, it is possible that Will Byers may sacrifice his life to save his love, Mike, and his friends. It would also complete a full circle if Will becomes the one to take Vecna down.
Joyce Byers
Joyce Byers may also be the character who sacrifices herself in the finale. She might do it to save her kids and Hopper, along with everyone else. Her death would be an extremely emotional moment. It could align with the theme of parents sacrificing to protect their children.
Either one of Jonathan Byers, Nancy Wheeler, or Steve Harrington
All three of Jonathan, Nancy, and Steve have played pivotal roles in the series. While they could all survive, one of them may not. Steve is particularly at risk since his character arc has shifted, and he has become one of the most beloved characters in the show.
Additionally, Max remains at risk, and other characters like Hopper and Dustin are also not too far away from the firing zone. Whoever the series claims, it will be a tragic loss.
