Linda Hamilton will play the role of Dr. Kay in the upcoming season of Stranger Things. Hamilton is no stranger to action-packed roles. Her marquee role remains that of Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise. In Stranger Things, too, she is seemingly in an action role.
The teaser for the final season gave a brief glimpse of the character. In the teaser, Dr. Kay is seemingly involved in an effort to fight off the Demogorgons. As she is also surrounded by other armed people, she is likely a part of the U.S. military or some other wing of the government. She is also carrying a gun herself, which could indicate that she may be an agent or an operative. The exact details about her role have not been revealed.
Moreover, as Eleven will be on the run from the government, Dr. Kay could also be the primary antagonist pursuing Eleven. Her role does not seem to be a minor one. Hamilton previously spoke to ComingSoon about the extensive shooting schedule. “It was a very long haul. We took a year to shoot eight episodes, so I’ve never been on a project for a year,” she said. This also indicates that she is quite involved in the series and does not have a small role.
