Apple TV+ won’t stream a new Murderbot episode tonight as the show has ended.

The show aired its last episode on July 11, 2025. Fans were looking forward to an additional number of episodes due to the series’ intriguing storyline. Lately, streaming platforms have adopted the strategy of releasing their shows’ episodes in various parts to maintain hype. However, Murderbot isn’t following this release pattern, as all its 10 episodes were released weekly, on their scheduled dates and times.

The last episode showcased Corporation Rim technicians deleting Murderbot’s memory after its systems reboot. The technicians install a new governor module while the PresAux team offers to buy the SecUnit and threatens a lawsuit. However, the company representatives refuse as the SecUnit’s memory has been wiped out. Soon, Gurathin succeeds in getting the data downloaded during the memory wipe. Murderbot is finally rescued and is called to live as a free agent on the planet. However, in the end, it leaves on a transport ship disguised as a servant bot.

While there are no extra episodes in this season, Murderbot has been renewed for a second season. Creators and executive producers, the Weitz brothers, Chris and Paul, told Apple TV+, “We’re so grateful for the response that Murderbot has received, and delighted that we’re getting to go back to Martha Wells’ world to work with Alexander, Apple, CBS Studios and the rest of the team.”

Murderbot Season 2 is expected to premiere in late 2026.
