What Happens to Dolores in Jurassic World Rebirth?

With Jurassic World Rebirth having released recently, viewers have a burning question on their minds: Did Dolores survive or die? For those unaware, she is a juvenile Aquilops, which has an orange-brown color with stripes on its tail. In reality, she is a type of dinosaur that lived approximately 109 million to 104 million years ago in North America. But was this adorable species able to survive the events of the movie? Here are the details.

Does Dolores die in Jurassic World Rebirth?

No, Dolores doesn’t die in Jurassic World Rebirth.

At the end of the movie, the whole Delgado family makes it out alive. This includes teen daughter, Teresa, and her boyfriend Xavier, father Reuben, and little sister Isabella. They eventually take home Dolores.

It’s known that the effects artists created Dolores in animatronic form to give actors a realistic feel as they interact with this non-existent dinosaur. In the movie featurette, Director Gareth Edwards revealed that the shoot days with Aquilops were long, given her fully realistic appearance, which led many to stay back and pet her. “The days we had the Aquilops on set were very long days because people wouldn’t go home. They would stop and they’d want to pet her,” he added.

Additionally, some cast members also shared their views on Dolores’ life-like form. Audrina Miranda, who plays the young Isabella Delgado, revealed how this adorable dinosaur’s form helped her pull off a great bond on-screen. She said, “The reason why our relationship is so good in the movie is because I was scared and she just happened to crawl along and help me.”

Rupert Friend, who plays Martin, shared his take on Dolores and how he won’t be surprised if she instantly becomes a beloved character. He added, “There’s a character there, she has a personality. She’s adorable, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s everyone’s favorite character in the film. She’s probably mine.”

Jurassic World Rebirth is now playing in theaters.
