Mephisto has arrived in the MCU in Ironheart, and it seems that the character has potential to return in the cinematic universe. Given how Mephsito operates, he could be linked to many characters and potential upcoming projects.

Needless to say, Avengers movies have a knack for uniting all the big characters. With the latest addition to the roster, it would be a surprise if Mephisto does not appear in either of the films. He may not have a huge role to play as fans already know that Doctor Doom will be the primary adversary, but he may still appear in some capacity.
Ironheart Season 2
Ironheart was billed as a mini or limited series, so it is unlikely that it will get a sequel. But given its success and cliffhanger ending, if there is an Ironheart Season 2, it is expected to feature Mephisto as the villain. There could also be developments with Riri that will be linked to Mephisto, as she has made a deal with him.
Young Avengers, aka Champions series
If there is no Ironheart Season 2, Riri’s story could continue in the rumored Young Avengers series. Riri will definitely be a part of the Young Avengers lineup. And now, Mephisto is linked directly with her, which means he can appear in the series, too.
Midnight Sons Movie
Another rumored project in the making, Midnight Sons from Marvel, can feature Michael Morbius, Ghost Rider, Blade, Dr. Strange, and Werewolf by Night as the main characters. If the movie happens, it would make perfect sense for Mephisto to be the supernatural villain in it.
Doctor Strange 3
Doctor Strange is another franchise where the villains usually have supernatural powers. Mephisto would make for a great villain in the third Doctor Strange film. The sorcerer has already faced the likes of Dormammu, and it will not be a huge surprise if Mephisto is the next big bad.
Potential Ghost Rider project
So far, there isn’t any confirmation about the Ghost Rider project, only hints, but most expect that it will come. Ghost Rider is a character who is canonically linked to Mephisto. So, if a potential Ghost Rider movie does happen, chances are Mephisto will be a part of it.
