All Games Played in Squid Game Season 3 (& How They End)

Squid Game Season 3 returned with perhaps the most explosive set of games seen so far in the series. From reinventions of the classic games from earlier seasons to new and lethal additions, the third season featured very exciting games and many heartbreaking deaths.

Here is a breakdown of all the games in Squid Game Season 3 and who won them all.

Hide and Seek

The first game in Squid Game Season 3 was Hide and Seek. In this game, participants were divided into two groups. One group was handed knives, while the other received keys. The group with the knives had to hunt and kill members of the other group, who had to survive the allotted time. This dangerous game saw many casualties, including some major character deaths.

Dae-ho (Player 388), Hyun-ju (120), the Shaman (044), and Yong-sik (007) die in this game. Yong-sik’s mother, Geum-ja (149), dies by suicide after the round, having effectively killed her son. The remaining contestants move on to the next game.

Jump Rope

The second game featured in Season 3 is Jump Rope. In this game, the infamous doll Young-hee and her new companion Chul-su appear. The two dolls swing a heavy rope between them across a bridge. The contestants must cross the bridge to the other side.

In this round, Nam-gyu (124) is killed first. Gi-hun manages to cross the bridge with Jun-hee’s baby. However, Jun-hee cannot cross and steps off the ledge. Myung-gi (333) also makes it to the other side alive, among several others.

Squid Game in the Sky

An aerial version of the Squid Game, called Squid Game in the Sky, is the final game of this season. In this game, the remaining players — including Jun-hee’s infant daughter, who replaces her as a contestant — must push another player off of each of the three giant structures that they stand on. The structures are a square, a triangle, and a circle, symbolizing the Squid Game logo.

This round ends with Gi-hun protecting the baby and ultimately fighting her biological father, Myung-gi, who attempts to sacrifice the baby to save himself. In the end, only Gi-hun and the baby survive. Gi-hun sacrifices his life to save her, making Baby 222 the only surviving contestant and the winner.
