Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, Nick Frost, and Julian Dennison are some of the film’s cast members.
So, how is the How to Train Your Dragon remake’s ending different from the original? How does the ending compare to the original ending? Here are all the details and spoilers.

How to Train Your Dragon remake’s different ending compared to original
The live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon’s ending is largely identical to the original’s, but with some significant changes, including a notable tonal shift. The ending is made slightly more dramatic due to the shift from animation to live-action.
The most notable changes are seen in Astrid and Snoutlout. The two of them are given additional depth in their character arcs in the ending. Like in the original, Astrid retains her initial aloofness towards Hiccup. However, unlike the original, the reason for her aloofness is explained. Astrid reveals that her aloofness towards Hiccup stems from her jealousy of the privileges he gets due to being Berk’s chieftain Stoick the Vast’s son, and his surprising skills.
This additional element in Astrid’s character development helps further flesh out her desire to become a chief. It also adds more context to her eventual romantic relationship with Hiccup and her setup as a field leader for younger Vikings.
As for Snoutlout, he is depicted as a bully towards Hiccup, like in the original. However, unlike the original film, where he is shown as a one-dimensional character, he is given more depth and made more sympathetic. The film expands on Snoutlout’s relationship with his father, Spitelout. Spitelout shows no concern towards Snoutlout, ignoring the latter’s attempts to impress him throughout the film. However, Spitelout expresses his approval for Snoutlout after the latter demonstrates bravery while fighting Red Death in the film’s ending.
