Following Karate Kid: Legends‘ recent theatrical debut, fans are eagerly waiting for its digital and streaming release date. The sixth installment of the Karate Kid franchise, the movie centers on Li Fong played by Ben Wang. He is joined by two franchise veterans, Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han and Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso.
Without further ado, here’s everything we know about Karate Kid: Legends’ digital and streaming debut.
When is Karate Kid: Legends’ digital release date?
Karate Kid: Legends has yet to announce its digital release date. However, based on past trends, we can speculate that the film will debut on PVOD in July or August.
As per the site DVD Release Dates, the movie will become available for purchase or rent as Digital HD on Prime Video and iTunes on August 26, 2025. Meanwhile, Forbes has estimated the PVOD release to be between July 1 and July 15. The DVD and Blu-Ray release has not been announced yet.
Where will Karate Kid: Legends stream and when?
Karate Kid: Legends will debut on Netflix for streaming.
Netflix is currently under a deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment that allows all its movies to make their streaming debut on Netflix, following their theatrical run. As a movie distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, Karate Kid: Legends will be no exception.
Sony movies typically take around three to four months after their theatrical debut to debut on streaming. This window also depends on a movie’s box-office performance. For example, Sony’s recent horror thriller Heart Eyes arrived on Netflix on May 8. It is a little over three months from its theatrical release on February 7. Thus, if Karate Kid: Legends follows this trend, fans can expect to get it on Netflix anytime between August 29 and September 26. Having said that, viewers need to wait for Sony and Netflix to reveal the official streaming release date.
The latest addition to the beloved Karate Kid franchise, Karate Kid: Legends is a continuation of 2010’s Karate Kid as well as Netflix’s martial arts series Cobra Kai. Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio return as Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso respectively, while Ben Wang steps in as Li Fong, the movie’s leading star. Other cast members include Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, and more.
