Disney has been largely silent on the future of Star Wars TV shows. With the premiere of Andor Season 2, the list of upcoming TV show release dates has shrunk to less than a handful. Read on below to learn more about the rather bleak future of Star Wars streaming series on Disney Plus.
What Star Wars TV shows are coming out after Andor Season 2?
There are only a few Star Wars TV shows currently on the Disney Plus release roster. Of those, only one has a solid release date. The others have vague release windows, and we won’t see them hit streaming for at least a year or two.
Here’s the current list of upcoming Star Wars TV shows:
- Star Wars Visions: October 29, 2025
- The Ninth Jedi: 2026
- Maul – Shadow Lord: 2026
- Ahsoka: 2025-2026?
Star Wars Visions Volume 3
Release Date: October 29, 2025
The anime compilation series, Star Wars Visions, is coming back in October with nine more episodes. A different animation studio handles each episode, but every story won’t be original this season. Three popular episodes from past seasons, The Ninth Jedi, The Duel, and The Village Bridge, will be getting sequels.
The Ninth Jedi
Release Date: 2026
Production I.G. is also working on a Ninth Jedi anime limited series. Details about the project are sparse, but we have a rough release window 2026.
Maul – Shadow Lord
Release Date: 2026
Darth Maul is back—again. This is another project with sparse details. All we know is that Maul will be training an apprentice and that the animated series will premiere sometime in 2026.
Ahsoka Season 2
Release Date: 2025-2026?
The second season of Ahsoka just started filming according to Collider, so we don’t expect it to drop until late 2025 or sometime in 2026 at the earliest. So far, we know it’ll follow Anakin’s apprentice as she journeys through another galaxy far, far away, but that’s about it.
