Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 finale effectively ends on a cliffhanger. It underscores the power and influence Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk / Kingpin and his wife, Ayelet Zurer’s Vanessa Fisk, have accumulated since they became the first couple of New York City. In the finale, they unveil the full extent of their control. Toward the end of the episode, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock / Daredevil realizes that he needs an army to fight the Fisks, and here is a list of heroes who can join it.
List of heroes who could join Daredevil’s army in Born Again Season 2 with Luke Cage
Several heroes mentioned in this list have had past encounters with Matt. This includes Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Danny Rand / Iron Fist. Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, who reappears in this episode, can potentially play an important role in assembling such an army.
Luke Cage
Cage has previously worked with Matt to take down the Hand in The Defenders, which originally streamed on Netflix in 2017. Given that Cage also operates in New York, he is a likely hero whom Matt and Karen can ask to join the army.
Iron Fist and Coleen Wing
Iron Fist and Jessica Henwick’s Coleen Wing can also potentially join the army. However, there is some controversy around Finn Jones’ iteration of Danny, so it remains unclear whether he will ever become part of the mainstream MCU.
Jessica Jones
As with Cage and Danny, Jessica was also part of the fight against the Hand in the Defenders. Moreover, she shares one of the most interesting relationships with Matt in the entire franchise. If Matt is building an army to take on the Fisks, she will likely be a part of it.
Echo
Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez / Echo can also join Matt’s army. She has a complicated history with Fisk and might want to help Matt defeat him.
Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop
Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate bishop can also be part of Matt’s army in Season 2. After all, Khan was mentioned in one of the episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, and 2023’s The Marvels showed her reaching out to Bishop.
Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton / Hawkeye might also appear in Matt’s army. He has had an encounter with Echo, who erroneously blamed Ronin for her father’s death, when it was Fisk who did the deed.
Spider-Man (If rights allow)
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker / Spider-Man might join Matt’s team if the rights allow him. Marvel Studios can’t use Peter in TV projects unless the character’s animated. So, Holland possibly can’t appear unless deals have been made behind the scenes.
