Rita Repulsa Headlines Super7’s Power Rangers Ultimates Series 2
It took Hasbro several Power Rangers waves to get to the original Mighty Morphin arch-villainess Rita Repulsa. And even then, she came in a two pack along with a Lord Zedd figure most fans had to re-buy. Not so with Super7, who free her several centuries early in their Power Rangers Ultimates series 2. Rita includes happy and sad heads, as well as one of Evil Kimberly. Her costume utilizes fabric elements, and of course she includes her staff and telescope.
But that’s not all the wave contains. In keeping with series 1’s inclusion of multiple actor portraits, the Red and Pink Ranger come with headsculpts of both actors in the role. Kat and Kim heads for the Pink Ranger, and Jason and Rocky for Red. Multiple other accessories include a cat for Kat, and alternate dragon armor arms and shoulder pads for the Red Ranger.
In the role of the heavy this wave we get King Sphinx, with extra snarly head and hands. And for the Zord-scaled figure, a Dragonzord with missile-launch effect hands and a scaled Green Ranger minifig. All figures in the wave run $55 each. Super7 allows a payment plan for purchases of the entire wave, while online outlets like our affiliate partners at Entertainment Earth can offer cheap or free shipping. (Note: Superhero Hype may earn fees from Entertainment Earth purchases made through site links.)
