McFarlane Toys Announces TV-Based The Witcher Action Figures

Well, that clears up a few things. McFarlane Toys‘ license based on The Witcher previously only covered the third video game, which seemed awfully confining for a multimedia property based on books. Especially since the best-known iteration of the franchise thus far is Netflix‘s TV series starring Henry Cavill. Now, at least, it looks like Geralt of Rivia’s adventures on Netflix will see small-screen accurate plastic form. In a new teaser image, the house that Spawn built broke news of new TV-based The Witcher action figures.

Henry Cavill’s Geralt seems a sure thing, and McFarlane Toys can certainly capitalize on any Henry Cavill likeness by doing Superman at the same time. Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Joey Batey’s Jaskier would also appear top contenders as well. But knowing McFarlane, the company could have a real ball with the monsters. Whether as larger build-a-figures or just regular entries, Geralt’s foes frequently catch the eye with memorable appearances. A Golden Dragon might particularly impress.

McFarlane announced no specific release date beyond “2021,” but presumably it’s a while down the line, possibly to tie-in to the show’s next season.
