It’s now 20 years since the first X-Men movie came out, ushering in the modern era of the Marvel movie. Proving that audiences could and would accept a story filled with multiple characters wielding different powers it also made a star of Hugh Jackman. And in casting Patrick Stewart as Professor X, fulfilled many fan wishes. X-Men movie figures existed from the very start, but stalled circa First Class. That was around the time Disney bought Marvel, and Ike Perlmutter downplayed merchandising any characters from movies owned by Fox.
In 2020, of course, Disney owns Fox. Which means the X-Men movies get toys again. And today they went up for preorder at Hasbro Pulse and other sites, with a whole slew of new photos in and out of package. Hasbro initially announced and revealed these figures — Wolverine, Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique — back in February.

The biggest surprise in the new images is that the Professor X and Magneto two pack comes with a whopping four bonus heads. The company previously announced separate heads for James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, and Ian McKellen. However, now helmeted and unhelmeted heads for both Magnetos come packed in. Sadly, no bonus Jennifer Lawrence head for Mystique, though she does feature an extra morphing arm.
As these are considered premium anniversary figures, they hit the $24.99 price point ($49.99 per two pack). Additional releases include a currently sold out tank-top Wolverine exclusive to Amazon, and four Deadpool movie figures (Wade, Negasonic, Cable, and Domino) for Walmart. Preorders for those should announce at a later date.
