Sony Pictures’ Ghost Rider, budgeted at $110 million, added another $11.5 million domestically and $16.3 million overseas this weekend to bring its three-week worldwide total to $155 million.
Writer/director Mark Steven Johnson’s last comic book adaptation, Daredevil, collected a total of $179.2 million worldwide on a budget of $78 million.
The win overseas marks the third straight weekend the Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes-starrer has been on top at the international box office.
