10 DC Comics Cities Perfect for Their Own TV Series

BLUE VALLEY

Notable Residents? Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Wally West (The Flash), Patrick Dugan (Stripesy/S.T.R.I.P.E.), Dragon King, and Cindy Burman (Shiv).

Notable Locations? Blue Lake, Blue Valley College.

What’s the Focus? Picture young Courtney Whitmore, born and raised in California but forced to relocate after her parents got a divorce. She moves with her mother to Blue Valley, Nebraska where they move in with her new stepfather Patrick Dugan, whom Courtney learns was the adult side-kick Stripesy to the teen hero the Star-Spangled Kid. She puts on the teen hero’s Cosmic Converter Belt to mock her new stepdad, but it comes in handy after the Dragon King attacks. Courtney and her stepfather fight together as Star-Spangled Kid and S.T.R.I.P.E. to defeat the Dragon King and his goons. Later the legendary Starman gifts Courtney with his Cosmic Staff wherein she took on the name Stargirl. It might sound like a hokey network TV show, but a city girl forced to move to the country and adjust to her former superhero stepfather, while venturing into the world of heroism herself, sounds like a watchable show to me.
