In early 2025, DC and Marvel excited comic readers with their announcement of their first collaboration in over two decades. The publishers confirmed a Batman/Deadpool one-shot and a Deadpool/Batman one-shot to start the new partnership. However, both companies blindsided fans with the surprise release of two more crossover comics on November 12, 2025.

DC/Marvel have a history of crossing over in comics. Their first collaboration came in 1976 with Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century. More crossovers came out sporadically throughout the late 20th century.
The last DC/Marvel crossover came in 2003, with JLA/Avengers. Given that, comic readers were happy to see the two biggest American comic publishers joining forces yet again in 2025. However, the announcement of two more tiles was truly surprising after the hype built up around Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool.
What crossover comics did DC/Marvel just release?
Marvel Comics has released a new one-shot teaming Thor with Shazam. The story finds Donald Blake and Billy Batson joining forces, as a familiar face tries to steal the magic from both their worlds. Thor/Shazam #1 is written by Al Ewing, with art by Jethro Morales and a cover by Martín Cóccolo.

Thor/Shazam #1 is available exclusvely through the Marvel Unlimited app. However, for a limited time, anyone can download a free digital copy of the comic at https://www.marvel.com/redeem with the code CROSSOVER25.
Not to be outdone, DC Comics has produced a new crossover comic for their DC Go! line. This DC/Marvel collaboration teams the Fastest Man Alive with Marvel’s First Family in The Flash/Fantastic Four #1. Written by Jeremy Adams, with art by Adrián Gutiérrez and Romulo Fajardo Jr, the one-shot finds the heroes chasing Gorilla Grodd through the Speed Force.

The Flash/Fantastic Four #1 is available exclusively through the DC Universe Infinite app. However, both Marvel and Unlimited and DCUI are offering discount codes to their subscribers allowing them to try one another’s services free for 30 days. To sweeten the deal, they have teased that there will be further surprise crossover comics for subscribers to see in the coming months.
