Jason Todd has always been the black sheep of the Batman family. Ever since his resurrection, he has delivered a rougher form of justice to the criminals of Gotham City. However, this September will see the former Robin fly out of the shadow of the Bat. Indeed, he’ll be setting out on his own to clean up an even darker city, in a new Red Hood series.
Written by acclaimed writer Gretchen Felker-Martin, with art by Jeff Spokes, Red Hood will be set in the DC All-In reality. However, it will also be a mature readers title aimed at ages 17 and up. This will be in keeping with the grittier action in which Jason Todd traffics.
“Red Hood is the in-continuity story Jason Todd fans have been waiting for,” said DC editor Arianna Turturro. “It delivers high-stakes action, a gripping mystery, and raw, unapologetic storytelling. Every element of the book highlights the core aspects of Jason’s character—his difficulties with personal connections, his badass training, his brooding hotness, and his violent approach to heroism. Which means he’ll be killing people—a lot. Let me repeat myself: this is the story Jason Todd fans have been waiting for.”
What is the new Red Hood series about?

The new series finds Jason Todd traveling to a city called New Angelique, which needs a Batman of its own. However, it is getting the Red Hood instead. Armed with only two hand guns, one motorcycle and his costume, Jason sets out to clean up the town as only he can.
Jason’s efforts put him on the trail of a super-powered serial killer, who is targeting the city’s police. However, he soon finds out he is not the only hero in town, with Huntress seemingly on his trail. Is she watching him to get in good with Batman? Or will she join the Red Hood in his crusade?
Red Hood #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on September 10, 2025.
