Vision and the Scarlet Witch are perhaps the most star-crossed pair of lovers in Marvel Comics‘ history. The two heroes found love once, but circumstances drove them apart. They have reconciled well enough to serve on the Avengers together. However, a new miniseries may bring them back together as a romantic couple.
Running for five issues, The Vision and the Scarlet Witch will build upon the current solo series of Wanda Maximoff. It will be written by Steve Orlando with artwork by Lorenzo Tammetta and Jacopo Camagni. The story will center around a plague of mysterious doors, which lure people in with promises of miracles and reunions with lost loves. When Vision is fatally wounded investigating these doors, Wanda will resort to extreme measures to save her ex-husband. The results will be unexpected but perhaps not entirely unpleasant.

Vision and Scarlet Witch series honors their anniversary
The new miniseries has been timed to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Wanda and Vision getting married. Steve Orlando is keeping quiet on whether readers can expect a second wedding in the upcoming book. However, he will allow that “anything’s possible” where the Scarlet Witch is involved.
“Wanda and Vision remain one of Marvel’s most iconic couples,” Orlando notes. “And not just for their marriage, but for everything since. It’s a rare, beautiful thing for characters to truly be able to have a relationship grow as Wanda and Vision have. They’ve come together, they’ve come apart, and come back together stronger than before — as family. That’s a mature bond, and it’s something truly special — I’m honored to be part of it, and even more excited for folks to see us test it! At Death’s Door, Wanda and Vision have nowhere to turn…but to each other.”
The Vision and The Scarlet Witch #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on May 21, 2025.
