Titan Comics has been publishing the comic book adventures of The Doctor since 2014. The publisher is marking this 10-year milestone with a new Doctor Who series starring the Fifteenth Doctor. This series will start with a Free Comic Book Day special.
Written by Dan Watters with art by Kelsey Ramsay, the comic takes place sometime after the 2023 Doctor Who Christmas special. Accompanied by his new companion, Ruby Sunday, the Doctor investigates a strange sound echoing through the space-time vortex. This leads them on a journey through all the worst days of the Time Lord’s long life.

May 2024 a Big Month for Doctor Who
Titan Comics’ timing in the release of the new series is auspicious. While Free Comic Book Day is traditionally held on the first Saturday in May, television release schedules are more fluid. However, it is a happy coincidence that the comic’s release coincides with the new season premiere of the show it is based on.
The new season of Doctor Who has been confirmed as premiering one week after Free Comic Book Day 2024. The first two episodes will premiere on Disney Plus on Friday, May 10 at 7 PM ET in the United States, as well as at 10 AM AEDT in Australia. The United Kingdom premiere on BBC will come one day later, at its usual evening airtime on Saturday, May 11.
The show stars Ncuti Gatwa as the latest incarnation of the Time Lord and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. The larger plot of the new series has been kept a closely guarded secret. However, it is suspected it will tie into the mystery of Ruby’s birth and her status as a foundling left on a church’s doorstop on Christmas Eve. The new season of Doctor Who will also feature Jinkx Monsoon as an unnamed villain.
