Exclusive Preview: Fantastic Four #37

If there’s a lesson to be learned from Doctor Doom’s failed wedding it’s this: Victor von Doom doesn’t forgive any slights. Especially if one of his greatest enemies slept with his bride-to-be. However, Johnny Storm failed to follow basic common sense, and now he’s paying the price. To get revenge, Doom overloaded Johnny’s powers. Now, in Fantastic Four #37, Johnny is stuck in his Human Torch form and burning hotter than ever.

This is Johnny’s greatest nightmare, since he knows full well that Reed Richards has never been able to cure the Thing. And if the smartest man on Earth can’t do that, then what hope does Johnny have?

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Fantastic Four #37, writer Dan Slott and artist Nico Leon look in on Johnny as he gets a visit from his best friend: the Amazing Spider-Man! Regardless, even Spidey may not be able to lift Johnny’s spirits. Additionally, the Thing’s adoptive children, Jo-Venn and N’Kalla, are getting ready for their first Halloween. They also seem to have figured out the perfect scam to get the most candy. Unfortunately, one of Jo-Venn and N’Kalla’s greatest enemies wants to reclaim them for her cosmic casino.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“There Are Monsters on Yancy Street

The fallout from the FF’s 60th anniversary stories continues! Maybe a visit from a certain friendly neighborhood Spider-Man might help with that? Meanwhile, it’s time for Ben and Alicia to take their kids trick or treating for the very first time… which might not be such a good idea. Especially when one of the Fantastic Four’s greatest enemies has returned!”
