Harry Potter Fans Can Hunt Death Eaters in a Real Hogwarts Experience

Harry Potter fans can hunt Voldemort’s Death Eaters by lantern light at a real Hogwarts experience in Tokyo. The special Halloween event also lets guests dine inside the Great Hall.

The Harry Potter Dark Arts Halloween event runs at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo. It will take place from September 10 through November 8, 2026.

Guests can explore the studio’s sets during a Halloween takeover inspired by the Wizarding World. The event also features themed food, including a purple Halloween Burger and Dementor pancakes.

From Death Eater hunts to Great Hall dining, the magic doesn’t stop there

The Night Tour takes groups of up to 30 through Hogwarts after dark. Guests will walk through the Great Hall and Forbidden Forest by lantern light. Death Eaters will hide around the sets while visitors search for them. They must cast Revelio to uncover the hidden figures and complete the challenge.

The experience lasts about an hour and costs ¥5,500, or roughly $35. Fans who want a longer celebration can book the special Hogwarts Dinner from October 27 to 29. The ¥55,000 ($345) package includes a meal inside the Great Hall. Floating jack-o’-lanterns will recreate the Halloween feast from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

The dinner package also includes a Death Eater performance and an interactive Candy Hunt. Guests can access a normally restricted area for photos during the event. They can then explore more of the studio after finishing their meal. An additional afternoon tea costs ¥7,500 ($47) and features pumpkin-themed treats and Molly Weasley-inspired sandwiches.

A larger ¥16,500 ($103) high tea package adds roast beef with gravy and horseradish sauce. Bread and drinks are also included with that option. The evening will feature a live Death Eater combat performance created by Paul Harris. Harris choreographed the wand combat seen throughout the Harry Potter movies.

Separately, Tim Horton’s has launched a Harry Potter-themed menu at its Canadian stores. The offerings include Hogwarts-inspired donuts and a Patronus drink.
