The official trailer for the upcoming Paramount+ original movie featuring Modern Family star Ariel Winter has been released. Clash of the Thundermans marks the second movie in The Thundermans franchise and will premiere on streaming and cable later this year.
According to the official synopsis, “Clash of the Thundermans follows youngest sibling Chloe as she develops a new and unpredictable superpower, causing the Hero League to demand they send her away to a superhero boarding school to learn to control it. Faced with the prospect of sending Chloe away for years, the Thunderman family is split down the middle, with Max, Hank and Nora wanting to hand her over for her own safety, and Phoebe, Barb and Billy willing to ignore orders to keep her with her family.”

What happens in the Clash of the Thundermans trailer?
The Clash of the Thundermans trailer begins with the beloved superhero family teaming up to fight adversaries in classic fashion. However, the chaos ensues when youngest sibling Chloe develops a power too volatile to manage, dividing the family into two opposing factions.
One side feels that this could be a chance for Chloe to become a legendary hero and master her new abilities at a specialized Hero League academy, while the other side refuses to separate the family. Tensions reach a boiling point in a Civil War-like situation, as half the family fights to protect Chloe at home while the rest attempt to send her away for her own safety.
Ariel Winter will make her franchise debut as the character Cognita. The ensemble also includes returning cast members Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Maya Le Clark, Diego Velazquez, Addison Riecke, Chris Tallman, Rosa Blasi, Dana Snyder, Daniele Gaither, and Robyn Bradley.
The upcoming Nickelodeon movie is helmed by Trevor Kirschner. It is written by Jed Spingarn, Sean W. Cunningham, and Marc Dworkin. Richard Bullock is the producer, with Spingarn, Cunningham, Dworkin, Kosarin, Griffo, and Brian Banks serving as executive producers.
Paramount+ is home to The Thundermans franchise, which includes the series, a movie, and a sequel. Clash of the Thundermans will premiere on Paramount+ and debut on Nickelodeon on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
