The Hand to be led by Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3

Elektra Natchios could lead the Hand in the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, according to a new scoop from industry insider MyTimeToShineHello on X. The scooper posted, “The Hand will be back in season 3 of Born Again led by Elektra.” Marvel Studios officially announced the third season on September 18, 2025, with filming currently underway for a March 2027 premiere on Disney+.

Elektra, portrayed by Élodie Yung in the original Daredevil and The Defenders series, was last seen buried under the collapsed Midland Circle building. She had seized control of the Hand after killing its leader Alexandra Reid in The Defenders. Showrunner Erik Oleson previously noted that Elektra’s body was never recovered from the ruins. He stated her status remained deliberately ambiguous, calling her simply “missing.”

The character’s history with the Hand runs deep across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The ancient organization resurrected Elektra using the last of their Resurrection Elixir after Nobu Yoshioka killed her. Alexandra Reid then trained her as the Black Sky, the Hand’s prophesied leader and ultimate weapon. Elektra eventually betrayed Reid and took full command of the organization before the building’s destruction.

The Hand is also set to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, potentially setting up their return in Born Again Season 3. The upcoming season will also bring back several fan-favorite heroes to join the fight. Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones reprise their roles as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Deborah Ann Woll also returns as Karen Page for the eight-episode season.

Dario Scardapane serves as showrunner for the third season, which will stream exclusively on Disney+ in March 2027.
