Following the recent developments in The Boys Season 5 Episode 6, fans are once again speculating that Stormfront may be Homelander’s mother, a theory that has circulated before. This time, however, Stormfront indirectly plays a role in Homelander. Thus, obtaining the V1 despite no longer being part of the story. This has led to renewed speculation that Homelander could be the son of Clara Vought, also known as Stormfront, and Soldier Boy.
Is Stormfront Homelander’s mother in The Boys Season 5?
Fans of The Boys have long speculated about a connection between Homelander and Stormfront. This is especially given the established relationship between Soldier Boy and Stormfront, whom he knew as Clara Vought.
Throughout the fifth season of the show, Soldier Boy has had opportunities to take Homelander down but has not acted on them. Instead, in the latest episode, after acquiring the V1, Soldier Boy voluntarily handed it over to Homelander. It is because he loved Clara and believed she would have wanted Homelander to have it.
Stormfront and Soldier Boy have also shared a romantic history. This has led some fans to believe Vought may have used Stormfront’s genetic material in the creation of Homelander. Since Homelander is portrayed as one of the strongest supes ever created, some viewers theorize that he may have inherited traits from two powerful supes, including Soldier Boy.
Additionally, Homelander and Stormfront were previously romantically involved. This has further fueled fan speculation that the reveal could add another complicated layer to the story if proven true. Soldier Boy’s recent change in behavior has also led some fans to theorize that he may have learned that Homelander is Clara’s son.
The theory also draws comparisons to the original comic storyline. Although Stormfront is portrayed as a male character in the comics, his genetic material was used in Homelander’s creation.
