Tyler’s Fate in Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 Explained

Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 has aired, and its finale brings in numerous twists and turns while also setting up the narrative for Part 2. Notably, the finale saw the return of Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin, a.k.a. Hyde. He served as one of the main antagonists of Season 1 alongside Christina Ricci’s Marilyn Thornhill. In Season 1, Tyler’s Hyde committed a series of murders under Thornhill’s control. As such, fans wish to learn if Tyler dies in his reintroduction at the end of Season 2 Part 1 and if he will be coming back in Part 2.

So does Tyler’s Hyde monster die in Wednesday Season 2 Part 1? Will he show up in Part 2? Here’s what you need to know.

Does Tyler’s Hyde monster die in Wednesday Season 2 Part 1?

Tyler’s Hyde monster does not die in Wednesday Season 2 Part 1.

In Season 2, Tyler is a prisoner at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital, a facility where Outcasts are experimented on. He was taken there after being defeated by Wednesday in the Season 1 finale. His arrival results in Judi and her father Augustus’ experiments, imprisonment, and falsified death reports of Outcasts being investigated by Jericho Sheriff Donovan Galpin and Carl Bradbury. Judi fears that Galpin and Bradbury’s investigation will expose her shady work at Willow Hill and thus murders them.

Tyler and other prisoners of Willow Hill are freed after Fester Addams zaps the electricity of the facility following his and Wednesday’s confrontation with Judi. During the ensuing chaos, Marilyn Thornhill finds Tyler and attempts to control him again. However, an enraged Tyler ends up killing her.

While escaping, Tyler comes face-to-face with Wednesday near a large window. Although a struggle between them isn’t seen, Wednesday is launched through the glass. As she lies bloodied and injured on the sidewalk, Tyler runs into the woods.

Will Tyler return in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2?

Tyler will very likely return in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2. This is because he now runs free following Part 1’s events.

However, it is unknown what his storyline in Part 2 will be. He may return to his abandoned home in Jericho or build a hideout in the woods. Alternatively, he could visit the Gates home or head to Nevermore to continue the killing spree he started in Season 1.
