Arkham Asylum Sequel is Officially Titled Batman: Arkham City

Coming to stores in fall 2011

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced Batman: Arkham City as the title for its follow-up to the award-winning, critically acclaimed hit videogame Batman: Arkham Asylum. Batman: Arkham City will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC  in fall 2011.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

Arkham Asylum is one of the most insane places in the DC universe. The first game was pretty good, and everyone in it was a representation of what it means to be crazy. You can't have a place like that in the real world. We'd all be screwed! My only concerns is the game format and play. Still no Nolan news on the next movie, I see.

I can not wait for this. There going with a escape from new york style thing for this. Arkham City is a big walled off section of Gotham just for the criminals and villains. Finally some real rooftops of Gotham Action. I do hope its co-op

I see this being like No Man's land. I hope it is just as openworlded and allows for vehicles. Using Robin in tight squeezes like vents and stuff would be awesome too! Make it happen

i like what spike said hope a little co-op thrown in there git a little boy wonder action as robin or nightwing to really be beasting it up but still super stoked about this one , loved the first and by far the best superhero based vidio game of all time so as long as they keep the simple yet captivating game controles with the unique charecter concepts we are all into a nerdgasem we are not likly to forget
