Blake Lively on Shooting Green Lantern
"I'm going to be the coolest aunt ever"

The adventure begins in the Vogue offices when I am bidden to look at the fittings shots of Blake Lively, which reveal a body sublimely toned for her upcoming role as Carol Ferris (a.k.a. ultravillain Star Sapphire) in Martin Campbell's Green Lantern, based on the DC Comics superhero introduced in 1940. "All I want is to be a hero to my nephews and nieces," Lively says, laughing. "I'm going to be the coolest aunt ever." Some interesting quotes from Lively. Is she describing herself as being the damsel in distress or will she actually appear as Star Sapphire? Read more about: |

Blake Lively is featured in the June issue of Vogue magazine and the actress
No way I can see them introducing Star Sapphire so soon. Maaaaybe in the 2nd film, along with Sinestro being exposed for the sci-fi Hitler that he is ;)
Also, the article has its research wrong. The film is based on Hal Jordan as Green Lantern, who wasn't introduced until Showcase #22 (Oct. 1959).
The Green Lantern they are talking about is the Golden Age Green Lantern, Alan Scott, who made his debut in All-American Comics #16 (July 1940).
Douch....
Martin Campbell is a great director and i think he'll do a good job with this. Just look at his filmography, GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro, Casino Royale, Edge of Darkness, etc. My only problem with this is that i'm not sure Ryan Reynolds is right for the part. He's a cool actor but i just don't picture him as the character, but i'm completely willing to give him a chance.
