A new Wonder Woman spot shows Diana and the Amazons in full fighting glory
In a new Wonder Woman spot entitled “Her Time Has Come,” we get a chance to see a bit more of the fighting Amazons and more of Diana of Themyscira kicking butt and taking names. The film will hit theaters next weekend, marking the first time we’re seeing the superhero in her own film, though she’s been around for 75 years. The Wonder Woman spot contains Diana’s Inigo Montoya moment. She says, “I am Diana of Themyscira, daughter of Hippolitya, Queen of the Amazons. In the name of all that is good, your wrath upon this world is over.” Check it out below.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot (The Fast and the Furious films, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Netflix‘s House of Cards), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Ewen Bremner (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator, Nymphomaniac: Vol. I) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).
Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman is being produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Rebecca Roven serving as executive producers. Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017.
