Iron Man to Hit the Small Screen First

Variety says that Marvel is developing an Iron Man cartoon series for next fall, months before the Jon Favreau-directed Iron Man is scheduled to premiere on May 2, 2008.
The strategy is similar to that for the "Fantastic Four" franchise which was adapted for television and will debut on Cartoon Network on September 2. The live-action film Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer, produced by 20th Century Fox, is scheduled for theaters in June 15, 2007. Marvel's Craig Kyle described the upcoming Fantastic Four series as a "comedy-adventure series that kids and parents can watch together." The animated series are being developed separately from the live-action features, but Kyle said they will support each other. Source: Variety Read more about: |
