Playing Senator Hammond in the big screen adaptation
Tim Robbins has joined the cast of director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern at Warner Bros. Pictures, reports Heat Vision.
Robbins will play Senator Hammond, the disapproving father of the movie's villain, Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), who becomes infused with psychic powers. Ryan Reynolds stars as Green Lantern, with Blake Lively as the hero's love interest, Carol Ferris. Filming is set to star in March in New Orleans. The studio is planning a June 17, 2011 release. He's playing a character's father.
Remember when he was just Merlin sayin' "You're gonna do WHAT?" and we still felt young?

Tim Robbins is great. Loved him in shawshank redemption. Great news, glad he'll work with Campbell, good director. Ryan Reynolds needs to be awesome, or oscar worthy for this film to excite me, but so far, i'm a little interested. Let's see what happens next. Report Abuse

I don't know much about the character that he's playing, but its rare that Tim Robbins is the weak link in a movie.
This could be great! Report Abuse
