Crossovers: 16 actors that appeared in Marvel and DC Movies
In the friendly rivalry that has always existed between Marvel and DC Comics, there have been periods when they’ve reached enough of a detente to allow crossovers between their superhero universes, as in 2003’s “JLA/Avengers.” That kind of crossover exists in the Marvel and DC movies as well, although instead of characters it’s actors, clearly fueled less by fan demand than by the fact that there are so few actors who can get a big budget movie greenlit.
We’ve compiled a list of some of the most prominent thespians to leapfrog from one company’s IP to the other without remorse and sometimes to great success. For instance, someone like Ryan Reynolds bombing so badly with Green Lantern would probably mean he should never lead another superhero movie again, but luckily cooler heads prevailed and his passion for playing Deadpool helped get the new film, that brought down the house at San Diego Comic-Con, made for release next year.
With that in mind, we say give peace a chance and give these folks the benefit of the doubt as we identify 16 actors that appeared in BOTH Marvel and DC movies.
