A new hero reveal trailer for the upcoming PC strategy game Game of Thrones: War for Westeros highlights Arya Stark’s deadly assassin skills. The official trailer also introduces Ser Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane as another playable hero on the roster.
PlaySide Studios unveiled the trailer showcasing Arya Stark as a playable commander for House Stark. Her character profile describes her as “a master assassin for House Stark, trained under the Faceless Men of the House of Black and White.”

In the game, Lord Eddard and Lady Catelyn Stark’s younger daughter relies on elite martial training, stealth, and agility. The gameplay footage reveals that Arya can also utilize her face-changing magic on the battlefield, killing an enemy combatant to instantly assume their physical appearance.
The trailer features her transforming into opposing commander Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane. Playable under House Lannister, The Mountain relies on his massive size and brute strength to destroy enemy battle lines and inflict fear on opposing troops.
New hero reveals expand the battle for Westeros
Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is a real-time strategy PC game developed and published by PlaySide Studios. The game allows players to control four major factions, which are House Stark, House Lannister, House Targaryen, and the Night King’s Army of the Dead.
The official game description reads, “In Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, chaos reigns in ruthless battles across the Seven Kingdoms. Command the Great Houses in epic real-time strategy battles, and stake your claim to the Iron Throne. Conquer the Seven Kingdoms solo, or dominate your enemies to claim the Iron Throne in multiplayer skirmishes, rally iconic heroes, and rewrite the fate of the realm.”
Apart from the newly introduced character, the roster of playable heroes includes Robb Stark, Jon Snow, Ghost, Grey Wind, Jaime Lannister, Tywin Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and The Night King. All of these possess unique abilities that can be used by gamers during battles.
Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in early 2027.
