EA has dropped an action-packed trailer for Star Wars: Zero Company ahead of its launch. Bit Reactor’s upcoming title will be the franchise’s first turn-based squad tactics game, which is set during the Clone Wars era. Besides tackling a new genre, the new game was also inspired by the AMC show Turn.
In Star Wars: Zero Company, players will take on the role of Officer Hawks, who assembles and leads a team of ragtag misfits through various fights across the galaxy.

What happens in the Star Wars: Zero Company trailer?
The trailer sets the stage for a gritty story featuring Kundri Fathom, leader of a Separatist-aligned cult known as the Infinite Coil. The footage starts by introducing viewers to the “volcanic world” of Luunata, a planet that Fathom has taken control over for his mining operations. The titular Zero Company sets its sights on liberating it by any means necessary. Gameplay segments show how players can approach situations in various ways, including using the tools of a Mandalorian.
The final trailer focuses more on its story and narrative presentation. The footage makes it clear that Bit Reactor wants to tell an original story with memorable characters set in the galaxy far, far away. These include the former Republic officer Hawks, the clone trooper Trick, Jedi Padawan Tel-Rea Vokoss, Mandalorian Cly Kullervo, Felshi Kabb Uppercut, and others.
In the game, each operator will have one of eight specializations, with each having three special abilities. Between battles, players can customize the Den, a hideout acting as a home away from the battlefield.
The game is available to pre-order now, with the standard edition priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on PS5 and XBOX Series X|S. Star Wars Zero Company releases on PC, PS5, and XBOX Series X|S on August 27, 2026.
