Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City on the Nintendo Switch

Batman: Arkham Trilogy Launch Trailer Spotlights Nintendo Switch Gameplay

DC has shared an official gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Trilogy ahead of the Nintendo Switch collection’s launch at the end of this week.

The launch trailer for Batman: Arkham Trilogy revisits some key moments from Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight — as well as spotlights the games’ signature FreeFlow combat system. It also reaffirms the inclusion of a free DLC Batsuit inspired by the 2022 film The Batman. This skin will first be available on Switch before making its way to other platforms.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy brings Rocksteady’s DC games to Switch

Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight originally released in 2009, 2011, and 2015, respectively. Arkham Trilogy brings the three titles to Switch for the very first time, complete with all their respective DLC packs. Rocksteady Studios developed the original versions of the games, with Turn Me Up Games handling the new ports.

“Become Gotham City’s ultimate protector across the iconic Batman: Arkham Trilogy,” the collection’s official synopsis reads. “Face off against notorious DC Super-Villains: The Joker, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and more in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Step into the shadows of Batman: Arkham City’s open world, the new maximum security ‘home’ for thugs, gangsters, and insane criminal masterminds. In Batman: Arkham Knight, tear through the streets of Gotham and take on the ultimate threat in the trilogy’s epic conclusion.”

Of course, the Arkhamverse is not limited to Rocksteady‘s core trilogy. 2013 saw the release of WB Games Montréal’s Batman: Arkham Origins, a prequel set eight years before the events of Arkham Asylum. Rocksteady itself is returning to the Arkhamverse next year with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a spin-off game set five years after the events of Arkham Knight.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy releases for the Nintendo Switch this Friday, December 1.
