The Boys Seasons 1 and 2 Come to Blu-ray This May

The Vought Corporation would probably approve. While few streaming shows seem to make it to physical media these days, the folks behind The Boys seem to understand that fans of superhero shows like physical media too. So little more than a couple of weeks before the third season kicks off on Prime Video in June, The Boys seasons 1 and 2 arrive on Blu-ray. They won’t come with a ton of extras, as the bonus features stick to deleted scenes, blooper reels, and “Butcher: A Short Film.” But for anyone not subscribing to Prime, it’s a long overdue chance to watch the thing. After all, who has the time or money to get every streaming service?

It’s notable that, while the super-powered characters tend to head up the marketing, the cover, actually just features the Boys themselves. NECA’s toy line so far has stuck to the supes of The Seven, with nary a Butcher in sight. Karl Urban, however, is arguably the biggest star on the show, with the likes of Erin Moriarty and Antony Starr now better known because of it.

The official release date for the set is May 17. Just in time for a super-irreverent Memorial Day marathon. Now, Disney+, how about home releases for some of those Marvel shows?
