Loki Debuts Poster for Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Loki episode 6!

Loki season 1 wrapped things up almost a week ago. The series has since been renewed for a new season, but the season 1 finale disclosed some of the secrets teased in the story. One of the major surprises was the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s debut of Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains, also known as Immortus to comic book readers. In the finale, Loki and Sylvie had to choose between killing the man who runs the Time Variance Authority or taking his place. While Loki would have taken a more pacifist path, Sylvie opted to kill him, unleashing all his alternates. Shortly before the end, the god of mischief found himself in the timeline of Kang the Conqueror, who is now running the TVA. Now Marvel Studios has debuted a character poster for at least one version of Majors’ character.

While the MCU has yet to offer a background to Kang, he goes by Nathaniel Richards in the comics. He comes from the future of an alternate Earth where time-traveling is a possibility thanks to the technology’s development. Kang finds a way to the reality of the Avengers and fiercely battles them. The character will likely play a pivotal role in Phase 4, which still needs to find a good villain following Thanos’ demise.

All six episodes of Loki season 1 are available for streaming on Disney+.

What do you think about the poster? And what about the first season of Loki? Let us know in the comments below.
