Gugu Mbatha-Raw Teases the Direction of Disney+’s Loki Series

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Marvel Studios’ Loki series for Disney+ was already in production. Within the series, Gugu Mbatha-Raw will play the female lead opposite Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. And according to Mbatha-Raw, Loki will explore some new developments for the God of Mischief.

“It goes to other places and you get to see [Loki] mature in a different way,” said Mbatha-Raw during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It’s going to be exciting for the fans to really see Tom and that character take the center of the story.”

However, Mbatha-Raw declined to share details about her character or even the tone of the series.
