Nevertheless, the promoters are doing their best to guarantee the usual high-quality standards fans expect. Now, Deadline has revealed a new part of SDCC’s schedule, bringing word that the Star Trek panel will feature some juicy news about the next season of Picard. Patrick Stewart will make a virtual appearance together with part of the cast to discuss the first season of the fan-favorite show.

The third full live-action show in the Alex Kurtzman-era will feature the new adventures of Spock, Pike, and Number One. A Q&A will follow the table read.

Besides that, this year’s panel will debut an extended clip from the upcoming Star Trek: Lower Decks animated series. The show will premiere on August 6 on CBS All Access.
