Netflix Unveils First Images of Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller’s Cursed

The King Arthur legend has been for centuries and is still a never-ending source for many stories. In 2019, Tom Wheeler wrote the young-adult novel Cursed together with artist Frank Miller, about the King Arthur legend from the point of view of Nimue, the future Lady of the Lake. Netflix has adapted Cursed in a 10-episode series that is going to air in Summer.

Many details about the series are still under wraps, but the book focuses on the time when Katherine Langford’s Nimue and Devon Terrell’s Arthur were still young and working together. Together, they will fight against the Red Paladins and their king Uther. And it seems that Nimue will play a pivotal role in the process that brings Excalibur to the next monarch.

Here’s Peter Mullan as Father Carden, leading the aptly named red paladins:

And Zak Holland as Uther Pendragon.

Of course, Merlin is part of the story too. The wizard will be portrayed on the screen by Gustaf Skarsgård, who did an amazing job in Vikings as the eccentric Floki. Matt Stokoe’s Gawain is one of the Round Table members that will make their appearance in the series.

Netflix has only released a batch of promotional photos from the series for now, but expect some kind of trailer or teaser to debut soon, given that spring is almost over.

Cursed hasn’t an official release date yet, but it will debut in summer.

Here are a few more images:
