Eric André has revealed a brand-new trailer date for the upcoming Street Fighter movie. André’s character, Don Sauvage, made the exciting announcement in a new video.
In a recent Instagram post, André’s Don Sauvage could be seen hyping up the World Warrior Tournament. Sauvage informs fans in a ringside exclusive that Lord Bison will be hosting the second edition of the high-octane tournament. As Sauvage gave some interesting insights about the upcoming tournament, he also confirmed that a new trailer will drop on September 1, 2026.
“Ryu, the reigning champion, will he return to defend his honor? But what about Ryu’s former training partner, Ken Masters? Will Ryu and Ken finally battle? Who would win this epic deathmatch? Lord Bison seeks to answer those questions and many, many more. New trailer, tomorrow. You’re welcome,” said Sauvage.
What to know about the new Street Fighter movie
The storyline of the new live-action Street Fighter will revolve around two fighters, Ryu and Ken. The two have gone their separate ways. However, their lives take a turn when the two are brought back together by Chun-Li.
The 119-minute action-adventure stars Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Jason Momoa as Blanka, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Cody Rhodes as Guile. Alongside them, the cast of Street Fighter also features Eric André, Mel Jarnson, Andrew Schulz, Rayna Vallandingham, Joe Anoa’i, Vidyut Jammwal, Orville Peck, Kyle Mooney, Olivier Richters, 50 Cent, and others.
The synopsis of the movie, per Rotten Tomatoes, reads, “Estranged street fighters Ryu and Ken Masters get thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament — a brutal clash of fists, fate and fury. However, behind the battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons from their past.”
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is produced by Cale Boyter, Stefan Makhoul, Jason Momoa, Takayuki Nakayama, and Mary Parent.
Street Fighter is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 16, 2026.
